Tall Pines Estate is the third design that I have created for the Links series.

The first being Kylane Country Club and the second was Autumn Valley.

These two courses were just stepping stones to what I have created with Tall Pines Estate (TPE). I learnt some very valuable lessons on these two courses with all of the feedback that I received, some good some bad. As strange as it may seem, I do like getting negative feedback.

I believe this is the only way that you can improve yourself. You need to be able to see things from another person’s perspective.

My favourite saying would be ‘you can’t please everybody all of the time’. I have tried with TPE but there will still be those who do not like the design and I have no problem with that at all.

Tall Pines is currently priced at US$2.99 and can purchased and downloaded by following this link Purchase Course.

The Course
I have three favourite designs around the world, Augusta, Pinehurst No.8 and Royal Melbourne. My design brief included design elements from all of these courses. How it would all blend together was going to be the tricky bit. I am still not sure if I have succeeded, but after reading comments in posts on a few forums, I am happy to say that most people seem to see certain parts of the course that remind them of the above mentioned courses. My other main goal was to create one of the most realistic fictional designs ever created for the Links series.

This I will not be sure of until I hear feedback from you. Any comments that you may have about the course, good or bad, please do not hesitate to send a quick e-mail or drop a message in the forums.

You may find that the scoring is quite easy (or if you play like me, maybe not) as I have not made the course to try and prevent the low scores that are possible within the simulator. I would rather have a realistic design that players can shoot low scores on than an unrealistic course that players will find hard to score well. You should be able to play the course without the top view after the first few games.

Most of the holes give you a great view of where you intend to hit your drive, I don’t think there is a true blind shot on the course. Looking at the hole previews will give you a good indication of how to play the hole with a small hint on each hole.
